  • In the beginning of the 2018/19 season he started a close collaboration with Staatsoper Stuttgart, where he performs, among others, König Heinrich in Lohengrin, Colline in La Bohème, Roi in L’amour des trois oranges, Filippo in Don Carlo and Pimen in Boris Godunov.

    His further plans include La Damnation de Faust in concert form in Berlin conducted by Robin Ticciati, Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Fidelio conducted by Zubin Mehta at the Maggio Musicale in Florence, Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Vienna State Opera, Don Giovanni in Madrid, Tristan und Isolde in Antwerp as well as Lady Macbeth from the District of Mtsenks in Boston and Ney York.

    Recent highlights include The fiery Angel in Rome, Aida in Rijeka, his debut at Berlin State Opera in the part of Mendoza in a new production of Prokofiev’s Betrothal in a Monastery conducted by Daniel Barenboim and directed by Dmitiri Tcherniakov, Timur in Turandot in Munich, König Heinrich in Antwerp, Pope in Lady Macbeth of the District of Mzensk and the title role in Rossini’s Mosè in Egitto in Naples, his debut in the part of Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail in Toronto, Brander in La Damnation de Faust conducted by Daniele Gatti in Rome, his debut at Bregenz Festival in the title role of Rossini’s Mosè in Egitto, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte in both Toronto and Florence, his debut as a song recitalist in Munich, Don Fernando in Fidelio and König Heinrich in Lohengrin conducted by Hartmut Haenchen in Madrid, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte in Graz and Venice, Sparafucil in Rigoletto in Rome, Commendatore in Don Giovanni and Colline in Venice, as well as Gran Sacerdote in Nabucco in Rome conducted by Riccardo Muti.

    From 2011 to 2017 he belonged to the ensemble of Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, where he sang, among others, Zuniga in Carmen, Colline, Angelotti in Tosca, Il Rè in Aida, Banco in Macbeth, Frate in Don Carlo, Capellio in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Don Fernando in Fidelio, Commendatore in Don Giovanni, Biterolf in Tannhäuser, Timur in Turandot, Ferrando in Il Trovatore or Walter Fuerst in Guillaume Tell, Oroveso in Norma, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Pope in Lady Macbeth of the District of Mzensk with conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Marco Armiliato, Bertrand de Billy, Paolo Carignani, Zubin Mehta, Kent Nagano or Massimo Zanetti.

    As a concert singer he was heard with Beethoven IX. In Naples, with Kodály’s Te deum Budaváry in Munich, Stravinsky’s Les noces conducted by David Zinman in Zurich, as Frère Dominique in Arthur Honegger’s Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher, as Ivan in B. Šipuš’ Osorski plač, with Schubert's mass in E flat major, Händel's Dettinger Te Deum and Messiah, Charpentier's Te Deum, Mozart's Requiem, Haydn's Nelson Messe, Buxtehude’s Membra Iesu Nostri, Schütz's Musikalische Exequien, as Fedor Basmanov in a concert performance of Prokofjev’s Ivan the Terrible and in operatic concerts in Hamburg and Frankfurt.

    2016 he sang Bauer in Schönberg’s Gurre-Lieder at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich conducted by Zubin Mehta.

    In summer 2011 he participated in the Young Singers Project of Salzburg Festival.He studied singing at the Music Academy of University of Zagreb in the class of Vlatka Oršanić, took part in several master classes and won awards and prizes at international voice competitions.
